IGNOU revaluation

After a Term-End Examination result, IGNOU opens a short window to ask for a re-evaluation of the answer script and, in many cycles, a photocopy of that script. Both are paid. Both are per course code. Both are announced on ignou.ac.in.

Re-evaluation

Another examiner looks at the script. The mark can go up or down. The later mark is the one that stands.

Early declaration of result

A different paid service, requested before the main result, not a recheck after it.

The TEE re-evaluation form does not touch Tutor Marked Assignments. If the assignment column is blank or looks like someone else’s mark, take the stamped receipt to the study centre coordinator. That is a records problem, not a re-evaluation problem.

Historically the form stays open for a few weeks after that result batch. Count from the circular’s date, not from the day you personally saw the mark. Late applications are refused even when the story is sad.

• Fee is per course. Budget before you tick five codes “just in case”.
• Practicals, projects and labs often have a different challenge path. The theory re-evaluation form will not re-mark a viva.
• There is no unofficial “rechecking agent”. Anyone asking for your portal password is stealing the enrolment, not helping the script.

The grade card updates when the revised mark is posted. That can take weeks. Filling the next exam form in the meantime follows the eligibility rules as they stand now — do not assume the recheck will finish before the exam-form last date.
