Why the IGNOU grade card is still blank after you submitted

If you submitted on time and the receipt matches your enrolment number, a blank assignment column usually means the mark has not been posted yet. It does not by itself mean the file was rejected. The grade card updates when Student Evaluation Division records the TMA — after the centre forwards the bundle, not the afternoon you stood in the queue.

• Wrong grade-card form (CBCS vs BCA/MCA/MP vs Other) shows an empty page even when marks exist on the right form.
• You opened last session’s card, or a cousin programme code.
• The centre still has the pile. Online upload can sit in a regional-centre queue just as long.

There is no public clock that says “posted in 14 days”. Students often see TMA marks after the TEE result for that course, sometimes only then. An assignment submitted in March for the June TEE can stay blank through April. That is irritating. It is also common.

Chase when the session has moved on and the column is still empty or the mark looks like someone else’s. Take the stamped receipt (or the online acknowledgement with the file name) to the study-centre coordinator. That is a records job. It is not TEE revaluation.

• Enrolment number on the cover must match the ID card. A mismatch is how files never attach to your row.
• One course code per file. Mixed PDFs get parked, not graded.
• Do not pay a site that “unlocks” assignment marks. Those pages are not IGNOU.

If the centre says the bundle went forward, ask which regional centre and on what date. Write that down. A second upload of the same TMA in the next cycle can create a duplicate mess if the first one was already in the system.

Hall-ticket rules and assignment posting are different offices. Many students sit the paper while the TMA column is still empty. The course still reads Not Completed until both components post. Read whether you can sit TEE without a posted assignment before you assume the hall ticket is a pass.
