IGNOU marksheet and final grade card

The webpage you print after every TEE is not the final marksheet. Employers who ask for a “marksheet” usually want the document issued after the programme is complete.

Printing the grade-card screen with the browser’s Save as PDF is fine for your records. It is not the final marksheet. Do not tell an employer it is.

Pick the CBCS, BCA/MCA/MP or Other form so you are looking at your own row.

Grade card guide

When the final grade card is issued

The university issues the final grade card after all required courses show Completed — assignments, TEE, practicals, projects, and any viva your programme lists. One leftover Not Completed course blocks the final document even if you already have a job offer.

  • Watch Student Evaluation Division (SED) notices on ignou.ac.in. That is where dispatch and duplicate procedures are published.
  • Online requests, when a cycle opens them, go through the SED services link named in that notice — not through a Telegram “marksheet agent”.
  • The address on your admission record is where the envelope goes. Update it with the regional centre before you apply for the final card.

Duplicate or damaged marksheet

Lost or damaged final documents are a SED application with a fee, plus an affidavit if the notice asks for one. A colour printout of an old scan is not a duplicate. Police FIR rules, when they apply, are in that circular — do not invent one.

What to send with a job application now

  • If the programme is still running: the latest grade-card print, and a line that it is a status print, not the final sheet.
  • If every course is Completed and you are waiting for post: the same print plus the completion / result notice if you have one.
  • If you hold the final grade card: scan that. Do not overlay a fake university seal in Canva.

Convocation is the award, not the marksheet

Registering for convocation does not replace SED’s grade-card issue.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download the final marksheet as a PDF today?
Only if SED has opened that download for your completion batch. Most learners still receive the final card by post or collect it as the circular describes. The public grade-card site is not that file.
My grade card shows Completed on every row. Where is the marksheet?
Completion on screen is necessary, not sufficient. Wait for the SED process for that year. Write to the regional centre only after the circular’s stated window.
Does percentage appear on the final card?
IGNOU reports grades and marks by course. A single “programme percentage” is something you calculate, not something the card always prints. See the percentage guide before you invent a number on a CV.
